Senior Technical Lead

Diem is building a community-curated search engine, powered by incentivized knowledge-sharers. Our mission is to close the gender information gap by developing an alternate to the current Google search experience. We will become women's first stop on their quest for community-based knowledge, beyond their private group chats.

We are hiring for our first Senior Technical Lead to join the Diem team to help bring our vision to the world.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Overall 8+ years of engineering experience including at least 3+ years of experience in senior engineering roles
• Experience leading the product development lifecycle such as product vision, go-to-market strategy, requirements, and product launch
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, UX/UI, marketing, management, etc)
• Experience in mobile app development
• Consumer Social & Data Science experience, a plus

About the Role

• Create and implement engineering strategy and translate to engineering development roadmap
• Pair with product, design and co-founders to develop company and product strategy
• Own product performance metrics and create solutions for improvement when needed
• Pair with product on large features to ensure the right solutions and architecture are being developed from the engineering side
• Collaborate closely with product management to drive the product and technology roadmap to help accelerate Diem member growth, engagement and monetization efforts
• Determine the right third party technology choices (upgrade decisions, hosting decisions) to best deliver business value
• Drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment and you will be accountable for meeting delivery dates set in collaboration with project owners (or product team)
• Guide product as appropriate, manage cross-product technical dependencies, and drive resolutions to conflicts or remove barriers for the product team
• Build and maintain a high-performance engineering team, guiding decisions, provide training and career counseling, and mentoring for peak performance of the team

• Obsessed with “what’s next” in technology and how it can be harnessed to connect people to each other and discover the resources they’re looking for.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
• Deep understanding of agile development processes and methodology
• Data science experience, a plus
